Regulatory status
TIB is not a regulator
TIB is a private, independent verification body. TIB is not a regulator, supervisory authority, self-regulatory organisation, or statutory body of any description. TIB does not hold and has not applied for any financial services licence, authorisation, or registration with any competent authority.
Verification is not a regulatory authorisation
A TIB verification is not a regulatory licence, authorisation, permit, or approval. A verification does not excuse any firm from any obligation arising under Applicable Law in any jurisdiction of operation. Firms listed in the Registry remain subject to all laws and regulations applicable to them.
No cross-border licensing implications
A verification does not by itself entitle a firm to operate, market, or solicit business in any jurisdiction. The firm remains solely responsible for compliance with jurisdiction-specific requirements.
No advice, no solicitation
No professional advice
Nothing on the TIB website, in the Registry, in verification reports, or in any communication from TIB constitutes investment, legal, tax, accounting, or other professional advice. Users should consult qualified advisers in the relevant jurisdiction before relying on any information for a specific purpose.
No recommendation
A Registry entry is not a recommendation to engage with, participate in, or use the services of any firm. Participants must conduct their own due diligence.
No solicitation of client funds
TIB does not solicit, accept, custody, or process client funds of any kind. TIB does not execute transactions, place orders, manage assets, or perform any function that requires financial-services authorisation in any jurisdiction.
Nature and scope of verifications
Point-in-time determinations
A verification is a point-in-time determination based on evidence reviewed at the effective date. It is not a continuous assurance and not a guarantee of future conduct. Operational practice may change between reviews.
Scope limitations
Verifications apply the pillars and criteria set out in the TIB Integrity Standards at the version stated on the Registry entry. Matters outside the Standards are outside the scope of the verification. Limited-scope engagements are explicitly marked in the Registry with the named pillars covered; no conclusion should be drawn about pillars not in scope.
Evidence reliance
Findings rely on evidence provided by the firm and on such independent checks as TIB considers appropriate in the circumstances. TIB is not an auditor within the meaning of any statutory audit framework and does not express an audit opinion.
Revocation
A verification may be revoked at any time if evidence subsequently contradicts a material finding. Revocations are recorded and retained in the Registry history. Where an appeal is successful, the appeal outcome is recorded alongside the current status.
The public registry
Provision on an "as is" basis
The Registry is provided on an as is and as available basis. TIB takes reasonable care in compiling Registry entries but makes no representation or warranty as to their completeness, accuracy at any given moment, or suitability for any particular purpose.
No guarantee of Firm conduct
A Firm's listing in the Registry does not constitute a guarantee, warranty, or indemnity by TIB in respect of any act or omission of that Firm.
Reliance
Any reliance placed on Registry information is at the user's own risk, subject to the limitations of liability in the Terms of Service.
Intellectual property
Ownership
All content published by TIB — including text, graphics, logos, reports, standards, methodology documents, data, and code — is owned by or licensed to Stratinova LTD and protected by copyright, trade mark, database, and related rights.
Permitted use
Users may view, download for personal reference, and print extracts of TIB content for non-commercial information purposes, provided that all copyright and other proprietary notices are preserved and the material is not modified.
Prohibited use
Without TIB's prior written consent, users may not: republish TIB content on another site or service; use TIB content for commercial purposes; modify, translate, or adapt TIB content; or use TIB content to train, evaluate, or develop machine-learning or artificial-intelligence systems.
Citation
Journalistic, academic, and research use consistent with fair dealing is permitted with proper attribution to "Trading Integrity Bureau, integritybureau.org".
The Verified Mark
Nature of the mark
The TIB Verified Mark (the Mark) identifies Firms that have received a verification and hold a valid licence to display the Mark. The Mark and associated visual identity are trade marks of Stratinova LTD.
Licence
Use of the Mark is governed by a written Brand Usage licence issued to the Firm at the time of verification. The licence is limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable. The licence terminates automatically on expiry or revocation of the verification.
Misuse
Use of the Mark or the TIB name by any party that does not hold a valid licence, use contrary to the Brand Usage licence, or use that is misleading or implies an association that does not exist, constitutes unauthorised use and is actionable.
Forward-looking statements
Certain statements on the TIB website are forward-looking — including references to planned features, future versions of the Standards, intended roadmap items, and similar matters. Forward-looking statements reflect TIB's current expectations and are subject to change. TIB undertakes no obligation to update forward-looking statements, except to the extent required by Applicable Law.
Third-party references
The TIB website may reference third-party names, trade marks, and services for informational purposes. Such references are used nominatively and do not imply any endorsement of or by the third party. TIB is not responsible for the content or conduct of any third party.
Complaints and appeals
Complaints
Complaints about any aspect of the TIB services may be submitted by email to complaints@integritybureau.org. Complaints are acknowledged within five (5) business days and a substantive response is provided within thirty (30) business days.
Firm appeals
Firms subject to an adverse determination have a right of appeal as set out in their Engagement Agreement. Appeals are heard by reviewers who did not participate in the original determination.
Participant queries
Participants or third parties with concerns about a specific Firm's conduct may submit a confidential report to whistleblower@integritybureau.org. TIB reviews all such reports and protects reporter identity to the extent permitted by law.
Governing law and jurisdiction
This document, the Terms of Service, the Privacy Policy, and any use of the TIB services are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus. The competent courts of Limassol, Cyprus have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to the mandatory consumer protections set out in the Terms of Service.
